Job purpose
Our customer is a rapidly transforming and globalising organisation. This is being enabled in part through an extensive Enterprise Systems implementation. As each region (EMEA, APJ and Americas) moves towards a global “one way of working” approach, there are many dependencies and business critical events to be considered. For the business community and customers it is essential they ensure a stable and highly available ERP infrastructure.
In this role, you will work to ensure master data is properly set up and maintained in SAP Fashion Management Solution (FMS). You will be responsible for the configuration of the system, design and maintain the master data interfaces, performing QA assessments of the data in the system and working with other parts of the organisations system landscape.

Position in the organisation
In this position you will report to the General Manager, Global Enterprise Solutions. The stand for this position is in the Amsterdam area.

Result fields
- Responsible for the configuration of organsational structures and all other relevant master data
  objects (based on SAP IS Retail);
- Interface design, protocols, EDI;
- Manage all relevant master data processes for master data objects;
- Drive master data object enhancements, originating both globally as well as locally;
- Work with the functional and technical teams to consider any interdependencies/
  dependencies, including global landscape considerations;
- Manage processes for “business as usual” operations as well as emergency operations;
- Translate company strategy / vision into master data management / governance projects;
- Anticipate business issues and manage them to minimise impact: analyse problems,
  action and progress issues as appropriate, ensuring follow through to resolution;
- Stay aware of planned and ongoing projects at departments that consume or are stakeholder
  of master data objects and how it affects / impacts the master data template, governance
  and policies;
- Responible for SLA and KPI implementations of data quality in SAP FMS;
- Participate as a key stakeholder in mid-term and long-term architecture of master data
  landscape, includes PIM, PLM, DAM, MDM, etc.;
- Prioritise and manage projects and operations with cross-functional teams;
- Work with business and data stewards;
- Establish and execute improvements to better achieve this.

Representation and cooperation
- Is an ambassador for the project both within the organisation (at all levels of business)
  and externally;
- Initiates collaboration and cooperation between business and IT functional leads groups
  within the project;
- Initiates coordination and cooperation with other departments to support the realization
  of own objectives;
- Shares knowledge and information with the Directors and Senior Managers.

- Communicates strategically with global and regional executive teams both verbally and written.
- Leadership oriented communicate approach to project members;
- Supports communication to business user community and other stakeholders.
- Represents organisation with key project partner, SAP in particular at both executive and project
  resource levels.

We are looking for ambitious candidates who enjoys working in an international setting and want to contribute to a successful project roll out. You have been working as SAP consultant in any of the SAP modules and as a second or third carrier step would like o focus or specialize in master data. The ideal candidate should embody traits such as strong attention to detail, problem solving capabilities and proactive attitude.

Knowledge and experience
- Experience with Master Data in the Fashion/Retail-industry;
- Degree level academics and/or evidence of high level thinking over an extended period;
- 5+ years of master data management experience:
  Organisation structure, vendor master, article master, customer master, assortments / layout
  modules, listing, article hierarchy / merchandise category hierarchy, sites and pricing;
- 3+ years in developing:
  Standards, processes, specification, policies, etc.;
- Up-to-date knowledge on mid-term IT-innovations / directions and how this affects master data
  management / governance.
